The picture here is what I think exemplifies that notion.br /br /This was taken at the London FixedGear/SingleSpeed Tweed Run, an event where a bunch of British bikers got together, dressed to the nines, to enjoy a leisurely roll through the streets, and a bit of fun together. I love the whole concept for several reasons, not the least of which is just the beauty of it. If anybody does an affectation right, it's the Brits, and I've come to love these affectations, little things you do for their own sake. Dress Tweeds, vintage steel bikes, pipe smoking, facial hair, and photography with a vintage camera. It's certainly something I can get behind.br /br /I love taking my bike out and having a slow roll through the park, stopping every once in a while to take photos. I think I may start dressing better on these runs, and why not? Hell, get some people together and make a day out of it. If you wan to see more of the Londoner's Tweed Run, you can go a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/adamjscott/sets/72157613019716881/"here/a and a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/roxysreal/sets/72157612934832373/"here/a. Lots of wonderful photos, take your time looking.br...

Ziser/divdiv align="center"br /Here is another legacy film image from the same wedding as the image I posted yesterday. The bride and groom selected a local college campus to begin their wedding celebration. They wanted many of their wedding images captured on the campus grounds which, by the way offered some great backgrounds and beautiful locations for some terrific images. I remember we were setting up for a shot at the top of the steps, I was setting exposure, and when I looked up, I saw the groom and bride talking. I raised the camera to my eye just as the groom leaned forward and stole a kiss from his bride. The book is wrapping, if I find the time to just finish this project. More precisely confuse their light meters. A very dark subject against a light background, usually results with a silhouette. These statues are on the foreshore in Nelson, (New Zealand) and there was a bushfire raging nearby, so there was a drama in sky sky due to smoke. I took a set of three bracketed shots 1.5 EV apart. Whereas the overexposed image (+1.5 EV) captures the detail in the statues, but the sky is washed out. I then used picturenaut to combine the tones across a broader range and with a bit of adjustment in the tone mapping set I was able to get a reasonable result, but not exciting or as dynamic...
