Kenro has announced the UK release of two new studio light tables with built-in light stands.

These new additions to Kenro's wide range of studio lighting equipment are ideal for product shots and close-up photography where shadow-free reproduction is required.

The units feature three arms designed for the attachment of flash or continuous heads. The direction of the light source can easily be adjusted from all directions as the arms allow for over and under product illumination.

Each table features a curved acrylic board that creates the illusion of an endless horizon; this means the subject appears to float against the background. One side of the board is glossy and the other side has a matt finish to allow for different effects. Coloured foils or velvets can easily be attached to the board to create a more unusual backdrop.

The tables are available in two sizes, 122cm x 183cm (4 x 6ft) or 76cm x 128cm (2.5 x 4ft). Both the large and small tables are available on their own or as part of a kit. Each kit comprises of a table, including 3 arms, plus three Kenro Slim Light 300 Heads.

Kenro has announced the UK release of two new Tokina lenses, the AT-X 165 PRO DX and the AT-X 535 PRO DX, with immediate availability. Both new lenses continue Tokina's reputation for combining superb performance with outstanding value for money.

The AT-X 165 PRO DX is an ideal multi-purpose lens with a wide range of applications. From portrait photographers to photojournalists, from lovers of nature photography to sports fans - all will benefit from the AT-X 165's bright F/2.8 constant aperture. This wide aperture allows for faster shutter speeds in low-light conditions or a more shallow depth of field for more pleasing portraits. The out-of-focus background from a wide aperture setting helps to concentrate attention on the subject giving the image more strength and intimacy.



The rear optical group of the lens contains 1 SD (Super-Low Dispersion) glass element to reduce the number of elements (pieces of glass) in the optical design in order to make the lens more compact, lightweight and faster focusing.

Building on the success of their well-established range of Marumi Digital Filters, UK distributor Kenro has announced two new models aimed at the digital SLR user.

The new Marumi Super Digital High Grade Lenses Protect Filter features a hard coating which protects the lens surface from scratches, which makes it ideal for use in adverse working conditions. It is also oil and water repellent, enabling oil spots and water to be simply wiped off. Marumi DHG filters feature an ultra low reflection coating which increases light transmission and is technically designed to avoid interference with CCD or CMOS digital sensors. In addition, the filter has a blackened outer rim to minimise internal reflection, flare and ghosting. The filter mount is matt black which further reduces both reflection and the vignetting effect encountered with wide angle lens. Available in sizes 49-82mm.



Also announced are the new Marumi Digital High Grade (DHG) Achromat Macro Lenses. These remarkably useful accessory lenses, available in two strengths; 330 (+3) and 200 (+5), effectively increases the macro capability of any lens.
