Flickr’s Most Favorite

We’ve created a page on Digital Camera Tracker that accesses Flickr several times a day and selects 15 photos from the “Most Favorite” group and then displays thumbnails of those 15 images. When you select (click) one of the pictures you can view the original at flickr.

The link to the “Flickr’s Most Favorites” can be found in the left sidebar of DCT under “Camera Resources.”

Sony’s “Smile Shutter” Might Make You Frown

News

Lets face it, getting people to smile for your picture is perhaps the most challenging aspect of people photography. Recently Sony released the Cyber-shot DSC-T200 digital camera which has a “smile shutter” function and supposedly should make the job of capturing smiles a lot easier.

Oops… Maybe it does not work like the technicians hoped it would.

According to Edward Baig in an article for USA Today Sony’s new “smile detect” will not activate the shutter until your main subject smiles. He ended up getting frustrated with the camera waiting for a smile that he ultimately turned the feature off.
