No, the title above is not a typo. Casio has exhibited the prototype of the world’s fastest prosumer digital camera at IFA in Berlin. The revolutionary Casio 60 fps digital camera of the future will be able to take still images at 60 images per second at maximum resolution.

The camera will feature 6.0 million effective pixels, 12X optical zoom , 1/1.8 inch high speed CMOS sensor, 60 images per second at 6.0 million pixels JPEG, 300fps - Motion JPEG, AVI format, VGA (so you can replay your video in ultra-slow motion), CMOS-shift image stabilization and a 2.8-inch widescreen TFT color LCD, approx. 230,000 pixels. It measures 127.5 mm (W) x 79.5 mm (H) x 130.0 mm (D) and weighs Approx. 650 g. The precise product release date, pricing, brand name and specifications remain to be determined.
