Bring your camera with you!
The key to great Osanpo photography is just taking your camera with you, and keeping your eyes open. Be prepared!

“Showing A Little Attitude”
"Showing A Little Attitude"© David A. Ziser
I love this image of this young lady - how she's dressed, that look in her eyes as she peers directly back into the camera, and the subtle lines trailing off in the background combine to create a quite strong connection with the viewer. This image was made outside where the ambient light was quite bright. I used my "Cheatin' Flash" technique to darken the surrounds an appropriate amount so that the subject would "pop" from the scene. Illumination was provided by my off-camera flash positioned to the subject's right to give that beautiful loop lighting to her face. Camera specs; Canon 30 fitted with 70-200mm IS lens at 170mm, F7.1 @ 1/320 second, ISO 200. Enjoy! -David

THE REVOLUTION CONTINUES
Today we visited the Saatchi Gallery close to Sloane Square and admired THE REVOLUTION CONTINUES: NEW CHINESE ART exhibition. I was bored at the Tate Modern museum, where I thought the exhibitions to be pretentious at best, and although the Saatchi Gallery is a lot smaller, we spent more time there. It was simply a lot more interesting to us.
Note that the admission is free for all exhibitions.

Carhartt (repost)

After receiving the comment of Thierry in class i decide to redo the carhartt exercise again. I looked back the Gestalt theory, principles and element of design and i hope that this time my performance is better than the previous one.

A Night in Fullerton- Art Walk
It was great watching visitors looking over my work and it was great to get so many new people into the studio- many didn't even know we were here! I also had to keep reminding people that we have been in business in Fullerton for nearly nine years now- we're not a brand new studio, we'
These are a few of the favorites:

Here's how we set it up, my brother Jeremy (saving me again) installed this cable the night before the show and I found these cool silver binder clips and that was that- I told Jeni everything would be fine as she was stressing about my last-minute-as-usual character flaw.
We had a nice steady stream of guests- so much fun!
Thanks so much to all...
